Hi folks, the FMR Team welcomes you back for another, and the third, #FamilyWeek. For the uninitiated, Family Week is our regularly scheduled dedication to our members. We pick the topic and you provide the questions. Lindsay, Alex, and Michele have plenty to say on the topic but we want to hear from you. Fuel. Move. Recover. is all about the members. That means that we are member-funded and member-focused with our devotion to optimizing human performance. So without further ado, to the topic we go.
As you might have heard on the FMR show, coffee is something that Alex, Lindsay, and I are all fans of and users of. This week’s podcast will be about just that. That (usually) caffeinated-beverage so many of us love! Coffee can be affected by and itself affects how we fuel, move, and recover.
Fuel and coffee.
What questions do you have about how coffee fits into your nutrition goals? Or questions for how achieving your nutrition goals can be aided by or slowed by your coffee consumption. Furthermore, you ever wonder if the flavored drinks are really that bad for you? Or how about you are trying to lose weight and want to utilize coffee while fasting. Lastly, school is starting again. Are you curious about what recommendations you should be making for your staff and students?
Move and coffee.
What questions do you have about how coffee fits into your fitness goals? Did you know that the caffeine in coffee is a performance-enhancing substance? How does your choice of exercise (cardio or lifting) affect your use of coffee? Does exercise substitute for your use of coffee or can the two work together?
Recover and coffee.
What questions do you have about how coffee fits into your recovery and stress management goals? Most people know that coffee is a stimulant but how much is enough? Is it okay to drink coffee late? Do you like to use an alternative? How does that affect you? How about energy drinks? We are happy to answer any of these questions or those you have to help yourself or those you work with.
We want to help you get more out of the coffee to drink. You can do this and optimize how you fuel, move, and recover.
So whether you are a member or not, you can look forward to us discussing these topics and more on Friday.
